These are the perfect set of panniers for a shorter bike trip, or a trip to the grocery.I was able to fit everything I needed for a week-long bike trip where we stayed in motels every evening.I think they would be too small for the camper or long distance bike trip but they were just right for us.

Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DX Review

Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DX

This is my second Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DX.I got the first one about five years ago and have used it for my daily commutes to and from work.I provided a review about five years ago, but cannot locate it on Amazon, so I'll try to remember to point out all the good things and some constructive criticism.

This is a great bag that can carry virtually everything I need for my daily commute, with the exception of my shoes. If it were about two or three or four inches longer, I could easily fit a pair of shoes (it's wide enough and tall enough, but not quite long enough).I can carry everything else I need for when I get to work:slacks, belt, shirt, undergarments, necktie, socks, and all of my other stuff (wallet, watch, keys, etc.).

My five year old Topeak bag is actually still in service, but the zipper that closes the bag is slowly "giving up the ghost".This is not a complaint because it has seen five years of heavy service, including not less than four zips per day (closing it before leaving home, opening and closing at work, then opening again at home).

It also has a nice spot on the rear of the bag to put a tail light, which is essential for commuting.

I would highly recommend this bag, but I think that Topeak might have either phased it out or changed its design, so I hope its successor is as good as this one.

Yakima Super Joe Anti-sway Cradles Review

QUICK and easy to remove by releasing the two top straps. Once the straps are adjusted to your car it is easy and QUICK to place back on your car. Need to only adjust the two top straps. Would have liked it to fold up, but then again I would have adjust the arms each time. Find it a little awkward(positioning self)to pull straps to tighten.

A little hard to pull the red buttons out to adjust arms, but once it is done you never have to do it again unless you change vehicles.

Personally, Coach thinks this rack should be called the SuperDuperJoe. 2 (SuperJoe 2) or 3 (SuperJoe 3) bike capacity. Easy to install Quick Trigger Hub System. Narrow arm design fits a wide variety of bikes. Padded feet protect your paint job. Fits a wide range of vehicles, including minivans and hatchbacks.

I just got this today and had it stuffed full after running errands on my bike. The bag was easy to take on and off while I did my shopping and held a ton of stuff!Even fully loaded, the bag was secure.I read reviews of other pannier bags that have popped off while riding over bumps- scary- but not this bag. It's good looking, light weight, waterproof, easy, and secure. The only bad part is that I only bought one.I will definitely be getting a second.

Yakima Big Powderhound w/Locks Review

Ha, ha. All jokes aside, I was very pleased with this purchase. Fit with the included mounting hardware on the factory rack on my 2005 Mountaineer. Easy to install, very sturdy. I was worried, because lots of the skis we transport have racing bindings and they are mounted on plates. I thought maybe the bindings would scrape against the roof of the car when the skis were stacked onto it. But this rack gives nice clearance, even when mounted on factory crossbars. Fast Amazon shipping, and off we went to the ski hill.

Knog Dry Dog Panniers Review

This bag is great - I got it because my previous bag (an Ortlieb Downtown) was small and had fiddly little hooks to keep it closed. This bag is massive, and closes with standard plastic clip things (what are those things called?)

It mounted easily and securely on my bike, requiring only a couple little tweaks to get it to sit correctly on the right side of the bike - it came pre-setup for the left side, so it'd probably be even easier if you mount it there.I thought it would get in the way of my heel when pedaling because it's so big, but I didn't have any problems.

Also, the strap is seriously comfortable - it's about 3-4" wide, and cotton, so it's comfortable and doesn't put too much pressure on any specific area.

Haven't been able to test it in any serious water conditions, but so far it's great!I'll update this review if I have an update about the wet-weather performance.

One small caveat: I haven't been able to find a way to wear it where the hooks for the rack don't also hook my belt.Your mileage may vary.
