(More customer reviews)I bought this item as new from Amazon. The lock portion on the end of the bolt that went through the car's 2 inch receiver binded somewhat and the flimsy key broke off. I had to remove the plastic from the lock to make it work. Now it works fine. I guess it doesn't fit all car receivers perfectly. Not really a design defect with the company. The keys could have been a little thicker like the extra keys that the hardware store made for me. The upper lock works fine and the wire is plenty long enough for 2 bikes.
